FOX News: Miller High Life Gives Back to Vets

On July 4th, IAVA Legislative Associate Tom Tarantino joined Fox News to discuss a simple way Americans can help give new veterans a 'piece of the High Life' this summer: by donating bottle caps for IAVA's new campaign with Miller High Life. Miller High Life will donate more than $1 million in once-in-a-lifetime experiences to new veterans and their families from baseball tickets to NASCAR passes and more this summer. CNN: A Piece of the High Life

IAVA Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff and actor Windell Middlebrooks sat down for this CNN interview on the 4th of July to unveil IAVA's new partnership with Miller High Life - a campaign to give new veterans and their families more than $1 million in once-in-a-lifetime experiences from baseball tickets to NASCAR passes, concerts and more.

Behind the Scenes: A Few Weeks in at IAVA

As an intern at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) this summer, the operational tempo has matched that of my time in the Marine Corps.  Now, while most of my time is being spent in cubicles and conference rooms, the commitment this organization has to ensuring veterans are taking care of is enormous.

In Memoriam: Senator Robert Byrd

Senator Robert Byrd, the longest-serving Senator in United States history, passed away on Monday at the age of 92. The late Senator served as former Chairman of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, a member on the Subcommittee for Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
